John 4:14
"but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
In the journey of life, we often find ourselves thirsty—thirsty for purpose, for peace, for love, for something more. We try to quench this thirst with various wells the world offers: success, relationships, possessions. Yet, they often leave us feeling empty and parched.
Jesus meets a woman at a well and offers her something revolutionary: 'living water.' This isn't ordinary water that only temporarily satisfies. It is a spiritual source, a 'spring of water welling up to eternal life' right within us. This is the Holy Spirit, a constant, personal, and unending supply of grace, love, and fellowship with God.
Today, reflect on what you are thirsty for. Are you drinking from temporary wells? Turn to Jesus, the source of living water. Allow His spirit to fill you, to become a fountain within you, quenching your deepest thirst and overflowing into a life of eternal significance. You don't have to remain thirsty.
